MCE UPDATES Red Ribbon Week: Costume Day Is One Week Away!
MCE families, we’re looking forward to celebrating Red Ribbon Week! On Friday, October 30, students are welcome to wear their Halloween costumes. Dressing up is optional, and we’re excited to see everyone’s creativity!
As you plan, please remember:
No weapons, real or pretend, including costume accessories. No masks that cover the face. No face paint or hair paint.
Thank you for helping us make costume day safe, friendly, and fun for all our Buccaneers!
Thankful ThursdaysThankful Thursdays at MCE!
Throughout November, we’re celebrating Thankful Thursdays at MCE! Each Thursday, November 5, 12, 19, and 26, we’ll be sharing heartfelt messages from our MCE families and community members to recognize the amazing staff who make our school such a special place!
We want to hear from YOU!
Is there a current MCE staff member who has made a difference in your child's life? Maybe it's a teacher who goes above and beyond, an assistant who always offers encouragement, an office staff member who greets everyone with a smile, a cafeteria team member who serves our students with care, a bus driver who safely gets our Buccaneers to and from school, or a custodian who helps make our school shine!
Take a moment to share why you're thankful for any MCE staff member! Whether it's a special memory, a kind gesture, or simply a few words of appreciation, your message can make someone's day!
How Thankful Thursdays Work:
- Messages will be collected each Sunday and shared with staff the following Thursday.
- For example, messages submitted by Sunday, November 1, will be shared on Thursday, November 5.
- We'll continue sharing messages each Thursday throughout November.
- The form will close on Sunday, November 22.
Every message will be shared directly with the staff member being recognized, giving them a little extra reason to smile this November!
Thank you for helping us spread kindness, celebrate gratitude, and recognize the incredible people who make MCE a wonderful place for our Buccaneers to learn and grow!
Let's fill November with THANKS!
